Warranty

My instruments are guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for my life as an active luthier. I will not cover damage due to fair wear and tear, abuse, neglect, extremes of temperature or humidity.

Also I cannot be responsible for the tendency of some brittle hardwoods (Brasilian rosewood, Ziricote, Satinwood, Wenge), occasionally to develop hairline fractures despite decades of proper seasoning and despite a consolidament treatment with superglues that I do during building ; so superficial fractures, cracks or hairline cracks that might develop during shipping or later are not covered by warranty.

Old Brazilian Rosewood (Dalbergia Nigra) back and sides very often present short hairline cracks, holes or superficial fractures: if you order this rare, CITES protected, almost extinct wood you accept back and sides that have been treated, sealed and consolidated on my insindacabile judgment, since beautiful stunning pieces of this rare precious wood cannot be wasted because of purely aesthetical defects that are not going to affect in any way the instrument integrity nor the sound properties.

Major repairs or alterations performed by someone other than me risk cancellation of this warranty. Transportation expenses are the responsibility of the owner.

Cites woods

Instruments containing woods protected by CITES international conventions need an export certificate to be sold outside Europe.

These instruments cannot be retired directly from my shop in Italy and will be shipped using a carrier company of my choice that will take care of the Cites documents and declaration to customs and delivered to the customer address.

They can be sent only to the certificate holder and exclusively to his country of residence.
No exceptions will be admitted.

Varnish

Shellac varnish is the best finish choice for the sound of the classical guitar but is very fragile and wears with use especially in high temperature and humidity conditions, periodic maintenance is the responsibility of the owner and is a condition of warranty.
